This is why I almost pulled the plug on painting...because I knew it would take a while and we'd get crap for it, but I figured we'd push through the original deals anyway.

It feels kinda like some of you are policing us...not sure how I feel about that. Those waiting for items should and are encouraged to contact us directly if they have issues.

Lil' update. Painted grilles are supposedly done. Planning to snag them tomorrow and pack/ship by monday. I will snap a couple pics. Here are some others I haven't shown yet.

Ed's before paint. Some real harsh sunlight, no touching up and I was manhandling this grille for about an hour before the pics. Anyway, the fit is great. All that I can expect.

And....we are shipping MONDAY

When you get your grilles there is going to be some trimming and sanding marks on the backside. This is all so they fit properly. You should not need to do any more grinding but as with all fiberglass body items you should not be surprised to have to do some massaging to get it perfect. We won't be chastised for imperfections out of the box because we can only guarantee a factory perfect fit with an injection molded plastic part, which this is not. But you will see these are DAMN GOOD.

What TSXKid said. When you make each grille, do you mount them before you ship it out?

I'm thinking the answer is no, realistically.

Sure I can do that. When can you swing by?

jk...I think you know how absurd that sounds...no we don't test anything else before shipping, and this is no difference. Hence, making it right the first time and taking the time to make sure they are good to go.

Got 2x grilles back from paint yesterday but they still need some slight finish work before shipping. Doing my best to get them out for tomorrow!

Heads up for people waiting for shipping, we needed to bias efforts towards shipping Christmas stuff so we might a bit short in shipping resources to get these out this week. One will leave for sure...not sure about the other yet.

i think bias should be towards the people waiting for the grilles as they've been waiting for a long time as is already...

Mr. NC's review from his thread:

1st time it was mounted on the bumper, it wouldn't fit at all, it was skewed to the right, I believe Ed_6969 had the same problem, so it's the master mold it came from that's the issue. My body shop guy had to dremel 1-2 cm from the inside to make it fit.

Aside from that heartbreaking moment(you don't realize how sad you will be when you been waiting this long for this grille and the body shop guy goes "it doesn't fit" ) LOL Install was straight forward

Spray painted black, may or may not peel/stick meeeeh

Yes the right side seems to be sticking up a bit more compared to the left. I'll get that looked at later.

There is a gap from top of grille to hood, it's the shape of the grille, I have a feeling they used a euro grille frame as a base thats why. If you remember sum1 took a euro grille and modded it on the forum and it had the same problem. I want to put a rubber strip there...or it's increased airflow for better cooling

In terms of quality. Just comparing my JDP CF lip and the ATLP FRP grille (I KNOW ITS CF AND FRP, apples to oranges blah blah blah) but jus goin by feel before both were installed the ATLP doesn't seem up to par ie the JDP lip just felt nice in your hands(no homo)

As for looks....uhhh 1st in Canada, 2nd or 3rd on the street? Looks good me thinks. I kinda wish the middle bar just went straight across instead of swishing up at the ends like that. Looks like a moustache to me.

So if I was a new 09-10 owner and I saw this thread would I buy this grille? More than likely if I really hate the shield grille or want a different look. If you're patient there may be future options down the road.

This grille took so long I actually got used to the shield grille.

This post may seem like a straight bash but honestly I like the ATLP grille, it's alot more low key which is what I like.

Give Marcus a break here. I don't know many vendors out there that would do a limited run (with all the R&D involved) sports grille. He would be lucky if he can sell 20-40 grilles in total and that's with 70K+ TSX sold for MY 2009-2010. MY 2011 has new smaller grille.

While my OEM H emblem grille has better fitment and comes paint-matched from factory, to buy one in Canada now would set me back $675 (including taxes and shipping). I was fortunate to purchase it 2 years ago from a dealer in Japan who shipped it to Vancouver for $400 (all in).

Kudos to HeelToe/Marcus, your effort is much appreciated.

Thats fine, and i appreciate marcus' work and all,

but im just surprised noones commented on the soul crushing irony of waiting around a year for the grille and then seeing marcus comment on someone else's 2 week timeframe

Call me a dick if you want but thats just how i see it

And also the way he treated the people who ordered. While they were waiting for the grille, with their deposits in, and excuses. Just the way heeltoe handled it, that alone is the only reason I'm not waiting by the door for my HT grille to come in. That's honesty.

All in all though, I do give props to HeelToe for actually doing this in the first place. By all means I give him the respect for that. Props to you!

Only seeing this now, this is quite ironic...almost ALMOST funny, is it warranted? No sir.

Sorry it took me so long to post a review, I was focusing on other threads and stuff and christmas time got me backed up on delivery of my stickers to some of my fellow constituents. + I want to provide everyone with a quality review right? Something that everyone will be happy with. The wait is completely worth it. + I had a guy edit my review and it's taking him a long time, he's clearly slacking so it's clearly delaying me unfortunately. I didn't want it edited but I figured I'd stay the course.

Having said that.

I wanna give HT some respect for giving CU2 owners a grille option.

Having said that.

Everything in the red HAD to be dremel'd off. The excess material removed is quite large. Without this trimming, the grille would not even sit on the bumper. It looked like it it was in the same accident as mr. stak ( I LOVE YOU mr. stak) It was that skewed/off centered. None of the screws/snaps lined up without trimming as well. Even now after all that trimming. the right side of the grille is not flush yet. I'm not sure how much more trimming can be done now since its already down to the grille base itself.

Looks like ed did me a favour and posted the grille review already. Gracias senor
