Intro and quick question

Just picked up a 2012 tsx se 6-spd and jumping in with both feet, joining the forum. I've lurked here doing research for a while and I have to say this is a great site! I'm pretty excited about the new ride as I've been driving a 1992 accord coupe for the last 9 years lol. Anyway, quick, easy question for you guys. I bought my car from a state that didn't require a front license plate, however my state does. I bought the bracket from acura yesterday and it seems like there are two attachment points below the bumper and another 2 that get tapped into the bumper. When I spoke to the parts department the other day they told me you don't need to drill into the bumper at all, but looking at the part it sure doesn't seem that way. Just wanted to verify before I put 2 holes in my bumper.

Thx
Scott

Welcome! And don't put the two holes into your bumper!! You will thank us all later, including yourself.

you can just attach it to the lower grille also, there are screw holes already on it.

I relocated my plate to the bottom of the bumper where the lower grill is. I didnt like the stock location so now it kinda blends into the black mesh.

My state requires two plates, but i only run rear, it pisses me off cause i can't unscrew the damn plate they drilled in unless i do bump plugs. If you got a Vortex Blue and in NJ we can trade drilled for non-drilled ;D

Thanks everyone. Yeah I really wasn't interested in drilling into my bumper, glad to hear I don't have to

My wagon came with the front bracket, that was into the grilles. I live in a two state plate required, but after I got home from dealer, I removed the front contraption. I was ECSTATIC to find there were no holes, and the bracket was held below by the two holes in the grille.

Also since I Have a mommy wagon, no one cares around here I got one plate.
