Interior lights (door, dome, vanity, etc) & license plate lights -> LED conversion

Everyday I'm rofling
I had it on mine for a few months and didn't notice. Then when it started peeling a little I realized it was just a protective layer and was supposed to come off.

They took it off mine before I got it too, otherwise I'd have left it on. Looks cool + protection.

I also installed my exLED! They are awesome. Like 'em so much I now look forward to night time! Lol
Couldn't be happier with the results an ease of installation...
Don't know about the other brands but these are definitely a great set !!!!

Colorwise I think a nice white would've looked nicer! But to each their own! The blue is pretty bright that's for sure! But doesn't really do anything when it comes to giving off useful light lol

Advanced
About to order the exled 5000k setup but was wondering if anyone got the clear lens and what is the purpose? Diffuse the light? And this is only for the map light? Should I get the lens cover or don't bother.

Does anyone know where I can see a comparison of the 5k vs 6k license plate from exLED?
Seems like a lot of members here have bought the 5k pure white.
Anyone have pictures of the 6k cool white for the license plate?

Ah!, that makes much more sense.
But I have no idea. I'd start at the bulb and then work back up the harness. Obvious possibility is burnt out bulb. It's credible that the wires going through the door are chafed or broken.
Do you have incandescent bulbs or LEDs? LEDs are sensitive to which direction they're installed. Flip them and see if it works.
Otherwise, it's just going to be a troubleshooting crap shoot.

I used these Sylvania bulbs in my TSX and RDX. Not cheap but haven't changed them in 2 years.

^ your only options are blue incandescent bulbs(dunno if they exist), or wiring in some resistors like opboarding did.

Yep, I wired in a small resistor (120kohm or 470kohm I cant remember) that came with some random individual LEDs I bought. Worked like a charm.

Yeah. The larger the resistor the more they will dim.

I don't have any pictures. I wrapped it up in electrical tape once I was finished so it'll be too hard to show you now. Yeah I soldered it. Just pick one of the two wires coming out of the LED board and cut it, and solder a resistor between the cut. Then wrap it up with electrical tape afterwards. A generic example is shown below.

Welp, you can't dim those. Just put some electrical tape over a few of the diodes to dim it.

Has anyone done a foot well / courtesy light mod?
I was thinknig of doing led strips that have 12 leds in each
so drawing more current, i was thinking the 7.5 amp circuit could handle it
