Hi Guys, i live in NYC. i recently bought a 2009 tsx. I want to know how to protector the front bumper from street parking. I have seen people install a thick piece of rubber infront of the license plate. But i cannot find anything like that in the store or online. any of you know where to buy something like that.

 

have you tried like autozone or something?
or you could just steal one off some 80 year olds car..

 

I'm more scared of people damaging my back bumper. In fact, I just got a screw indent mark on my rear bumper from someone love tapping me yesterday. So sad.

The rear bumper is a problem with no apparent solution. no way you can park and be safe. One thing I always do, for both front and rear bumper, particularly for the front bumper, is to never, never, never park behind a pickup truck (or any truck for that matter), especially one with a trailer hitch attached. All they have to do is back up and they won't even sense that the hitch has gone through the a/c condenser. Of course they will always leave a note, right?

They're all hideous as shit, but i'm sure they work to an extent. I'm sure they'd get stolen too, as the protection is mostly just strapped to the vehicle.

i remember when I was in NYC. I always noticed that cars there have the front and rear protectors.

 

i got my 2011 tsx a couple months ago and i remember my first front bumper dibg. I think it was the 3rd day I had it on the road, heading to work and BOOM. A construction truck had some loose gravel on it and a piece hit my front bumper and dug a small piece out of the bumper. I was bummed out since the car was only a few days old. I got over it seeing it is a car that I use every day and it is gonna happen if you drive it.
