what if you wore reading glasses with reverse grid lines painted onto them? then you would always see the reverse grid

Just because a 2011 gets the lines, it doesn't mean that preceding years will get them too. If you had them, they would automatically show up (they are not easter eggs that have to be discovered and unlocked).

If you want the lines, you will have to replace the camera with an aftermarket camera, some of which have the lines. I personally hate the lines, so I installed one without them in my 06 TSX.

AFAIK the lines can be turned off but i've yet to find out how. The dealer ASKED if I wanted to have them on. They are useful in tight spaces.

If its anything like the ones on my moms 2009 TL, the lines really really great and they move with the steering wheel so you can see exactly where your car is going.

I dont even have a TSX but the answer is loud and clear.
the 2011's have a different back up camera set up.

sorry echo. you could try what was suggested and purchase a new camera.
But I would research into it a lot more, first.

Yeah, my 2010 doesn't even have it. There is a video on youtube for the 2011 one in a wagon. From the looks of it, the wagon really needs it because you can't see crap behind it.

I can't wait until the 2014 tsx comes out so I can see what goodies pop up in the 2010...lol

I wonder if the 2011 camera is compatible with the 2009/2010 system. If not, there are aftermarket cameras that can do it. They can even modify the image to show the driver what an overhead view would look like, a split view to look for pedestrians, etc.

Here is the video I think SocaliTrogan is referring to. I would also be interested in knowing what would be involved with upgrading the 2009/2010 to 2011 Nav.

This other Acura video looks like someone replaced the facotry Nav with a Kenwood. Multiple cameras installed and has the ability to toggle between them.
