driving high speed without front grill?

okay, so i am planning to get my grill painted this summer, and i called a place and they quoted me 200 bucks for uninstall, paint, install. they need 2 days for preparation and paint n stuff, so my question is if it would be okay for me to drive on the freeway and stuff without my front grill, so there would just be a big hole there...

theres another place thats a lot closer to me and cheaper too..150, but the shop from the farther place told me the painting process and ensure me they'll spray a primer or w/e so the paint would stick vs the closer place told me the paint might peel cuz my grill is chrome.

also, if ur in socal whats a good paint shop u suggest?

$200 is a lot and probably will be done right. it would suck if you paid $200 and it didnt match at all.

i got mine painted for $50 but obviously it didnt match at all which is why i wrapped it in cf vinyl

i drove around without a grill and had no problems

I would suggest looking around if you want a deal, I found a great Body Shop just by chance, which means a lot of driving around to diff shops and getting quotes, another good thing is with something like a grille getting painted, u can see the quality from what you pay, maybe you will luck out and find a good body shop, the place i found is cheaper than Maaco and MUCH better than the other shops that wanted me to pay twice to three times as much, and the Quality is just as good as the top notch shops i went with insurance earlier in my days. And by looking around, maybe you will find a good shop u can rely on with a good price in the future, like i chanced out on. just a suggestion.

also without a grille wont affect anything extreme, ur radiator will be the stop guard, the Grille only stops so much, im no expert, but on safe side, I'd say that the least driving you do without the grille the better, in no way do i know that the grille is much a factor or not, just always better on the safe side than the other

^ thanks. yeah, the only time ima drive the car without the grill is from the shop back home, and from home to shop.

and yeah, i think i migh tkeep looking for shops, but so far that place has good recommendation, the ppl explained to me what htey gonan do, and most importantly, ensured that they'll spray a primer or w/e so the paint will stick, vs the other shop which said my paint might peel
