Are you sure? I think it's the other way around: Min = less sensitive to lighting condition changes, max = more sensitive (at least, according to the user manual)

i park in uderground garage, so HID comes on automatically if i set to auto which i don't want it to be on and off because it turns off itself after driving out of garage, so i decided to manually set the headlight to off.

Whats wrong with them being on in the parking garage?
I have mine set to max. So early in the morning they stay on. and early nights they come on as well..
They never come on under bridges or trees etc unless Im in traffic and sitting under a bridge. my fog lights are always on as well..
Dunno why you wouldn't want to use your awesome headlights

Because it shortens the life of your HID bulb when you constantly turn on and off your lights.
So what he is saying is when he turns the car on in the parking garage the lights come on, then as soon as he exits, they go off. shortening the life of the bulb.

correct. im thinking changing the headlight timer from 15sec (default) to 30sec coz it turns on when i pressed twice unlock button on the transmitter when try finding my car in the parking lot, another way to prevent on/off in short span period i guess
