And does anyone by chance know a detailer in the houston area? This scratch is like 4 inches long and I want it gone asap. Dealer said $150 for a full polish which includes polishing out the scratch.

Looks like it will mostly come out if buffed. But it's hard to say from just a picture.

If i rub my fingernail perpindicular across the scratch I can barely feel it. I think it's around 1-2.5mm deep.

If its a key.. Who the fuck keys a car that was driven by my mom. Doesnt even make sense. And the jealous card doesn't work since the grocery lots are full of Panameras, E63's and Rovers.

I only say it's a key because right where the door opens it has the markings of a key.

People that key cars don't care what car it it. I've seen Camry's and Honda's with as many key marks as any other car. And they don't know who drives them, for the most part. It's an unexplained phenomena of why people feel the need to key them as far as I know.

Its been keyed for sure. Some of that might come out with the machine polisher but it'll never be perfect... sucks man... somebody clearly has it out for you or your car.

What the fuck. Why would anyone key my car. Never going to drive it again. I'll probably just sell it and buy a civic in the next few weeks. Or I'll give it to my mom and take her 2005 CRV instead. My mom said the only place she went to was the Temple and no one dislikes me there or anything. Its not even in the same city where I live. This is the second time.. Too much of a hassle for what its worth. Fuck this.

All jokes aside, sorry man. I know it's a horrible feeling to see that. Every time I get to my car after it's been parked somewhere for a few hours, it's always in the back of my mind if some asshole keyed me.

I don't think you realize that the majority of the time it's just people walking by that decide to keep their key out and go hunting. It's usually not someone targeting you, unless the car was parked at your house or you have a crazy ex-girlfriend.

I give up on mine. I wash it and its dirty in a day. Especially since I drive 80mi+ a day. And I park outside.

That and the fact that the bumper has more chips than actual paint left on it.

At the moment the car is coated in dead bugs, pollen and bird shit.

I did use Lexol on my seats a few days ago. Made a big difference. They feel much more stiff, alive and ready to take a beating!
