2010 TSX Remote Start Accessory, Will it work with 09s?
I was just wondering if anyone could find out if the '10 TSX remote start accessory from Acura would work on the '09s? Anyone that works for a dealership that might be able to find out?

Sounds neat but the thing about having to restart the engine when you get to the car and unlock the doors seems a little complicated. The fob won't work until the stop the engine first, then open the door, then restart it again??

No kidding! Seems super inconvenient. Not worth $400 at all. I think for next winter I'll get something else installed....any reccomendations?

How easy is this to Install?
I did a CAI and brakes and other stuff before but when It comes to wires and stuff I try to stay away.. But if this is like Plug and Play then I am in..
A remote start would be grat and if it is easy to install I would do it.. My car is a lease so I would just take it off when I was done.. How hard is it to install .. anyone?

I called some of my tech freinds at Acura and they said that the Acura remote start SUCKS..
They said that no matter what temerture it is the climate controll will automatically set the 72, which I have no problem with but then when u get into your car you have to put the key in turn the key to on on position then shut it off then turn it on again before you can start driving... And it is a PITA to install!

We just picked up our 2010 TSX TECH and had the Acura remote starter installed pre-delivery so it's covered under the full factory warranty (and the 8yr/120K extended we purchased too). We got it for just over $600 installed, which is a bit more than a comparable up-scale aftermarket with 2-way remote (which the OEM one has), but acceptable. It is not as user-friendly as even the GM factory one in my Silverado.... but it is a factory part that doesn't require hacking apart the wiring. Some aftermarket installers are great and have no issues....but have one problem that is wiring related (as we did with our 2000 Accord-- and the subsequent reason we never put one in our 2005 TSX)....and forget about Acura covering it after it's been cut up.
In all honesty, I'm really surprised that Acura doesn't have this factory installed as a standard option....that works on one remote.... that doesn't require you to turn off the car before the key-fob remote will work.... before you can start/drive the car.....
I mean, come on, if "Government Motors" can do it.... Honda should be able to also ......

All cars over 25k should have it from the factory, it would cost like $100 at that time.
