It looks like Acura won't offer the plood interior accent anymore, just metallic, unless it's a dealer option. Not sure if I like the black/silver/parchment combo. The parchment/wood interior on the gen 1s had a warm, classy look to it.

Another clueless Canadian journalist.
Every article I read up here is chalked full of misinformation.
there's a rumour going around that this diesel engine may be coming to North America.

The big news for those who don't like to sit on cowskin is that cloth seats are now available in the base model - and seat heaters are included!
The TSX Premium Package adds perforated leather seats, XM satellite radio, USB port for memory sticks, two-position memory for the driver's seat, front fog lights, HID low-beam headlights, and automatic headlight operation.
To the Premium Package, the Technology Package adds a bi-lingual navigation system with voice recognition, colour screen, rearview camera, illuminated steering wheel controls, and an Acura/ELS premium sound system with ten speakers, and six-disc CD/DVD changer.

"Don't get me wrong though - the new TSX hasn't devolved into a boomer's boulevard cruiser: its handling, braking and overall vehicle dynamics are still superb even though it has gained 65 kg (143 lbs) - in fact, the '09 TSX handles even better than the current TSX thanks to its 65 mm (2.6 in.) wider track, new Showa dual-mode shock absorbers, wider standard tires (225/50R17s vs P215/50R17s), larger rear disc brakes and a new electric steering system derived from the NSX sports car."
It is the first time I have seen better in a review for the 09, when it comes to handeling. Reviews have been all over the place on the steering.

Looks like it.
I think there's a couple of reason's for it. They need to be able to advertise a lower base starting price. I'm guessing the Base model will come in a $34,995 with the Tech starting at $40-41.
And rumours are that the CSX is being discontinued so like the US this will be the entry level Acura. Doesn't look good having your entry level car starting at 40.
For comparison a base cloth IS250 without HID's starts at $31,900.

Another quote from the review
"Before driving the new TSX, I was a little worried that its larger size would compromise the nimble handling that the TSX is known for. I mean, if you want a larger Acura, why not buy a TL, or even a Honda Accord? Once out on the open road though, I found that the '09 TSX is still a very nimble, athletic sedan, but now with an improved ride and a quieter cabin. 2009 Acura TSX. Click image to enlarge
I hate to use a cliche' like "It's grown up", but essentially the new TSX is a more mature automobile, more refined, more comfortable, and more sophisticated. The front seats are really, really comfortable, with terrific lateral support, and the suspension (front double wishbone/rear multi-link) absorbs bumps well at high speed despite the fact that there's almost no lean when cornering. The new Showa dual mode shocks are supposed to improve ride and handling at both low and high speeds, and on a lonely winding road in the Okanagan Valley in B.C.'s central interior, I was able to toss this car around and feel in complete control, without punishing the car or myself."

yup. $34-$35k for premium and $36-37k for tech. I didn't mention it because I don't know how reliable the info is, but so far its 2 for 2.
This would make the TSX more comparable to the IS250 in terms of Canadian MSRP pricing. Now if we could only get some incentives on top of that...

Lets hope that's accurate. Very competitive pricing.
Navi is currently a $2,800 upgrade so I'd guess $38K for a MT Tech adding another $1,300 for an AT.
If they still charge extra for the AT which I could never understand.

This is what I copied from a member at TOV,
"Funny, just got back from my dealer and he said:
32,800 Base with cloth (with heated seats) 6 spd
34,000 Base with auto
36,100 Premium 6 spd
37,300 Premium auto
39,000 Tech 6 spd
40,200 Tech auto
So basically 100 difference from your numbers, and the auto adds 1200.
At this time they do not have the shipping/pdi charges."
Another members said the following,
"Got off the phone with my SA the pricing in for the TSX now for CDN:
Three trim levels
1) Base - cloth interior, single disk cd, 6 speed manual (so a stripper model) $32,900
2)Premium - leather, fogs, no ELS or nav -- $36,200
3)Tech -- Loaded ELS system $39,300 6 speed man, $40,300 auto
"
