Nice pics... it looks great in white with the tan interior!

 

It looks like Acura won't offer the plood interior accent anymore, just metallic, unless it's a dealer option. Not sure if I like the black/silver/parchment combo. The parchment/wood interior on the gen 1s had a warm, classy look to it.

WTF. I guess the rumours were true. I can only imagine thats to reduce the base price.

Looks lie we get 3 trim levels. Base, premium and Tech. But the base doesn't even have HID's? But, options are good!

It is the first time I have seen better in a review for the 09, when it comes to handeling. Reviews have been all over the place on the steering.

 

^^ The reviews I've seen refer to decreased steering feel, which is only one aspect of "handling".

 

Would that be 3 trim levels for the Canadian version only? I recall reading only about 2 trim levels previously.

 

Looks like it.

I think there's a couple of reason's for it. They need to be able to advertise a lower base starting price. I'm guessing the Base model will come in a $34,995 with the Tech starting at $40-41.

And rumours are that the CSX is being discontinued so like the US this will be the entry level Acura. Doesn't look good having your entry level car starting at 40.

For comparison a base cloth IS250 without HID's starts at $31,900.

This review at least didn't say anything negative about the steeing and implied the steering was like the NSX.

I hate to use a cliche' like "It's grown up", but essentially the new TSX is a more mature automobile, more refined, more comfortable, and more sophisticated. The front seats are really, really comfortable, with terrific lateral support, and the suspension (front double wishbone/rear multi-link) absorbs bumps well at high speed despite the fact that there's almost no lean when cornering. The new Showa dual mode shocks are supposed to improve ride and handling at both low and high speeds, and on a lonely winding road in the Okanagan Valley in B.C.'s central interior, I was able to toss this car around and feel in complete control, without punishing the car or myself."

 

 

With the new base trim, I'm hoping Acura will reduce the base price to match or better that of the IS250. If not, they just shot themselves in the foot (if they haven't already).

 

A nice review. And the front bumper didn't bother me in THOSE pix. I guess I am just gonna have to go see this for myself.

yup. $34-$35k for premium and $36-37k for tech. I didn't mention it because I don't know how reliable the info is, but so far its 2 for 2.

This would make the TSX more comparable to the IS250 in terms of Canadian MSRP pricing. Now if we could only get some incentives on top of that...

 

Lets hope that's accurate. Very competitive pricing.

Navi is currently a $2,800 upgrade so I'd guess $38K for a MT Tech adding another $1,300 for an AT.

If they still charge extra for the AT which I could never understand.

This is what I copied from a member at TOV,

So basically 100 difference from your numbers, and the auto adds 1200.

At this time they do not have the shipping/pdi charges."

So no $1500 freight and PDI? Thats strange.

Pricing is in line with 08's.

 

I guess they just don't know how much freight and PDI would cost yet. Probably going to be like $1500 similar to other makes.
