+40 mm offset

tires are 225/35

everything else is stock (shocks... ect)

they rubbed like hell when people got in the back and occasionally without people. had to take my beat out the trunk to drive peacefully without rubbing. What must i do to make it ride right... if possible or should i sell them?
let me know please

sell it.. go 19's max....

they will work but 20's are a bit big

if it were 19x8.5 +40 with 225/35/19

roll rear fenders and cut tabs and call it a day..

^^ what he says, lol. I have 19X8.5 with a +45 and P225/35R19 and I think that is the biggest I would ever go. It sticks out a little and I need to run some negative camber, but I couldn't see 20's on stock suspension. I have about 4 inches with stock suspension with the 19's.

So I would:
1. Sell the rims
2. Get 19's at the Max
3. Lower the Car
4. Roll Fenders, maybe cut tabs
5. Possibly run some negative camber
6. Call it a day have a beer and post pics!

Are you going to lower your car or not?

If you aren't going to lower it then you should probably go with a smaller tire like a P225/30R20, and probably some negative camber, if you don't plan on lowering it, but the chances of you bending the rims is going to be increased, and your ride comfort is going to go out the window completely... Of course I don't think ride comfort is your 1st priority since you are trying to fit 20's.

get 19s... duhh~!!!

maybe your shocks are blown.. and roll the rears and cut tabs.. shave if you must...
