Need Help ASAP.

My vendor is out of stock on 18x8 C4 multi.

He does have 19x8 in stock. He has given me a good deal for these... in my opinion. I got a quote of 2695 with Toyo Proxy 225/35/19.

My questions is.... If i get a 51 offset, would i rub?? I'm dropped on old Comptechs.

Quick response would be appreciated.

Yeah, you probably will rub in the back a little bit.

NO WAY YOU WILL RUB. I have 18x8 +50 Racing Hart C2 3-piece wheels and I had the old Comptech springs and I didn't rub even with a full back seat.

Go for it.

well mine will be 19x8 +51 offset. i already told the guy i'd drop by tomorrow and get them installed.... can't back out now. I was going to put 235 tires, but he said i'd rub. so i'll be going with 225 tires. i hope I'll be ok.

So what do you think about the price? I thought it was an awesome deal. i just have to pay with cash

you should be fine

with 235's you only need to cut two tabs in the back (off the plastic) to fix the rubbing

I dont think u will rub. Im on a 19X8 rim (+42 offset) with a 225/35/19 tire and the "original" Comptech drop and I still dont rub. And the 19's will look better!!!!

Thanks all for the reassurance. I ditched work just to get my wheels installed early. I'll be leaving in another hour. I'll post pix later today.

What?

My setup extended 26mm from the stock specs. His suggested setup will extend 23mm. At 26mm extended beyond the stock specs, I couldn't even move the car a foot without rubbing. Tire-wise, I'm running 235/40/18, and he mentioned 225.

But my car is lower than his, so that's why I said he will "probably" rub in the back a little bit, if he has a load or passengers in the back.

Better than saying he won't rub at all, then he will rub and say "oh, sorry ". I'd rather let him know that there is a POSSIBILITY of rubbing. Those are wide-ass wheels and tires.

225/35/19 on 8"wheels it just does't seem like a setup that would have me worried.

yes there is a chance that he'll rub but only a small 1.
If u rub "cut the tab" done, thats it.
I was on those same tires on 8.5" wheels and after i cut the tabs no problem.

I have the same setup only in 18s and I have never ever rubbed.

He'll be fine.
