I've had a few different kinds; the best bang for the buck that I've come across so far are the Dunlop grasspic ds-2

But the tires that I've had that I can only say good things about is the nokian hakkapeliitta RSi.

I currently have the nokian WR on my car now and although they aren't as good as the hakkapeliitta they are a similar tread design and are a all season tire.
Don't be suprised when you get quoted $600+ for four hakkapeliitta, but if you get a seperate set of wheels and only put them on during winter you should get 4 years out of them; depending how much you drive.

craigslist....
i just picked up a set of mint 215-55-17 blizzak ws-50's for $200, they guy had them on his G35, and used them for 1 winter....they are basically brand new.
look up the blizzak ws-50's on tirerack.com...they are on blowout right now, and 215-55-17 are $300+ shipping...shipping is $35 to illinois.

WS60s are good. I love the Dunlop WS M3's. The new X ICE i12 is good too.

If im not mistaken 05 tl rims are 235/45/17 or 225/45/17, and i would recommend if you still have your stock rims from 99tl to get general altimax artic, i believe they are good in snow but little above average on ice, unless you get studds on them. they start at $65 for 205/60/16.
Or you can go with blizzak or xice xi2 they both are on blowout sale.

it does not matter.
they are winter wheels and tire's...they come off in the spring...then my speedo will be correct again, and you wont have to lose sleep anymore.
please preach your speedo calculations to someone else..

And he was SIMPLY pointing out that it will be off. It doesn't matter if its only for winter or not. He was simply telling you to inform you if you didn't know and making sure that others that read this thread have the correct information. Not every one wants their speedo to be off.
