The H-Techs are hardly a drop, and are very soft. I didn't like them and bit the bullet for coilovers.

I really shouldnt do coilovers in Milwaukee, the roads are ridiculous, I really don't want to sacrifice much of my luxury, so the softness isn't too bad....

Eibach spring's over Tein spring's any day.

have you thought about sleeve coilovers like ground control, or skunk 2?

you can lower your car for spring, summer, and fall, and then raise it back up for winter. i live about 30 minutes south of milwaukee....the roads do suck, but they dont suck enough to avoid actual coilover's.

i still decided to go with k-sport's on my TL.

well u saw my car with the Eibach's....i rode in a TL-S before and the ride feels about the same with my drop as it did in the stock TL-S...if u dont wanna sacrifice the ride too much go with the H-Tech's..

No, but from what ive read on the site with the right combination of shocks,
H & R's will give you a smooth ride close to OEM.

ZEUS'O3TL can you send me some pics of your whip from the side? Im considering eibachs and Iwant to see how your ride looks. Did your ride change from stock? Is that the only mod you have for the suspension? Thanks

Dont get the Tein H Techs, I have them and as mentioned above the drop isn't that noticeable.

I would go with the H&R.

I used to have H&R Sport Springs(51858) on my car... ride quality is pretty good...
But if you wanna get H&R with 1.75 F/ 1.5R, get Sport Springs(50103) instead of the old one 51858, because 51858 sags at the back if you have a sub or something heavy in the trunk. Search for further information
If money is not an issue, get coilover man

What do coilovers have to do with that??? You dont have to have your wheels tucked just because you have coilovers.

I'm just going to get some need to see how much they cost though. I'll probably dish out the money and get Coilovers instead of just springs, or if i do get springs H&R is what i will be getting.

I had coiovers on my previous car and they had a much tighter spring rate, which means I felt every single bump in the road. And to me, that defeats much of the purpose of a luxury vehicle. I just figured sport springs would be sufficient.....

yea, coilovers will be great on roads that are all newly paved, if u ever drove down silver spring dr. here in milwaukee on coilovers, you'd know why I am avoiding them!!

ok can we get to a straight thing now.

Where i live there are hella bumps, potholes, and dips and just f'd up roads coilovers arent a good idea for that because what nickjames said :
"coilovers will be great on roads that are all newly paved"

I take it that springs are good for shity ass roads!

well...shitty roads are not good for any suspension really, but sport suspension, such as springs and shocks are better because the are not as stiff, they are in the middle of stock, which is real soft and coilovers, which are real stiff, just trying to find the middle of the road, lowered and soft.....

Of course you feel some bumps, but not NEARLY as bad asmost other cars on coilovers. It would be smoother even if I wasn't all the way down..

*sigh* There are people who drive on roads far worse than yours on coilovers, and they are ok. Tein SS rides even better than springs. (its adjustable). Mine are set all the way stiff, and personally I want it stiffer. When I had them set soft, it was like a Caddillac.

The ride is nice, and they get low, but not as low as I would like.

I'm saving my money to get Tein SS or some basics since everyone that has them loves them, I was going to go with Eibach pro kit which is like 300 and the Tokico shocks which are like 400 i think thats 700 and might as well pay 100 more and get teins!
