22" rims on Type S

Wheels make a car. Leave the stock wheels and just lower it, if your gonna change them you really need to do some MAJOR SEARCHING and look through many places to find the perfect match. Its a tough job but with the right eye you can spot the ones that go with the body lines and color of you car...just cause some rims look good on one car dont mean they will look good on another! my

you may not think the TL is a sports car, but neither is it made to have "baller status" or whatever people call it now these days.
just save that 2-3 grand you'd spend on wheels and tires and put it towards a 6speed swap, your car will be more reliable and fun to drive!

18s, 19s, a few 20s but very few because it's hard to pull off on this car. The reason everybody screams NO to 22s is because this car just does not look good with big ass wheels. The wheel wells aren't made for a wheel that big, let alone look good with them. Take a look at the wheel wells on cars like the Dodge Charger, Chrysler 300s, BMWs, full size trucks, etc. They look good with big wheels because they have big wheel wells.
Bottom line, the donk look on FWD japanese cars is . In all honesty I don't even like it on cars like Caprices, Buicks, etc. Nothing appealing about a 4WD sedan.

See, people that ask questions on here should believe what we tell them. We're not trying to diss their taste, we're trying to help improve it. Hate to see another Donk TL driving around.

The biggest you can roll is 22x9.5 35 et with 255/30/22 tires, thats what im rolling. Dont talk crap about guys trying to roll big wheels, personally i think dropping your car into the weeds & rolling 19's looks stupid but to each his own, SO RESPECT THAT!
