im getting mixed answers on what this could be...my car is making almost like a grinding noise coming from the driverside wheel when i make turns...some say wheel berring ( which i thought was supposed 2 make a howling type noise) and some are saying its a warped rotor thats rubbing...these are all random service advisors giving me these answers..i trust this forum alot more

Switch your rotors side to side and see if the noise moves to determine if it is the rotor (Or just get them turned)

As for wheel bearings, can't help much

when was the last time you had your tires rotated? I had a similar 'grinding' noise from the car and it was nothing more than the tires wearing wierd and rotating the tires got rid of the noise. It's a cheap remedy to try.

I had the same issue after have the front suspension serviced. My solution was to get a large screwdriver and pushing against the dust shield behind the rotor. No need to deform the shield, just push on it firmly in a few spots, you don't even need to take off the wheel. It solved my problem. The sound that I had was a faint grinding (metal on metal) when I turned left, from the right side.

Had that going on with my fiance's Mitsubishi, got new tires, and the grinding noise when turning was gone.

How were the brakes when you changed them?
May be time to think about new snow tires for next year- those may have had it!
