so heres the problem with my car.
its completly dead.
so i am driving to work, just a regular daily drive and all the sudden as i am making a U turn my car just dies. The RPM just drop and everything. so i try to start it again it doesn't start, all i hear is a knocking noise in my engile and it seemes like my car wasn't getting any gas pumped. so i pushed it down a hill and it started on a roll, so i drive back home and i poped it into Tep Tronich and by the time i got to fourth gear and started slowing down my RPMs started to drop again and the car wouldnot downshift. And once again it dies. so i wait like 5 mins then turned it back on got home and parked it. turned of the engine tried dtarting it back on and once again starts stats shaking, engine knocking like one of my pistons is about to fly out. so i tought it was a blown headgasket, but no smoke and the oile was fine. Iono what to do, i got till monday till my mechanic checks it out.
anyone know or could give any sugestions on whats going on with my car.

 

Just some quick thoughts.

Once the problem appeared did the car ever have periods when it was running fine?

If not, perhaps your timing belt slipped a notch or two? Is your timing belt due for replacement?

Fouled spark plug?

Battery/charging system problems? (check battery, check alternator belt)
