wobbly 01 tl
wobbly 01 tl
I have a bad wobble when giving it gas after 35 mph . I have had it in 4 shops and not 1 is sure what it is . I've had tranny, axles ,mounts, bearings checked also new tires and an alignment.once I let up on gas car drives straight and smooth. I don't feel wobble in steering wheel when this problem happens.
You have had them checked but nothing replaced? Sounds like a Axle. It could be worn engine mounts (only the side can really be "looked" at to see if its bad, front and rear need to be vacuum testes) or bad ball joints as well.
sounds like inner cv/axle bearing to me
did these shops actually inspect the car- by a tech- and found nothing?
did they run it while on the lift- cking axle bearings with a mechanics stethascope?
thats how to find noises in strange situations
accel vibration tends to be an axle bearing

were any of the 4 shops actual acura TL specialist, or just joe smiths auto fixers
certain probs are found on the TL--going thru the probs and fixes section should yield some good guesses based on others threads
tires balanced on standard machine- and tires balanced on hunter Road Force machine--are 2 different stories
Road Force machine also cks for rim damage-imbalance-out of round
A good tire store can look at each wheel and make sure no defects- blisters etc
anything that would make the tire shake
Because your prob starts at a certain speed- logic says inspect all motor and trans mounts, if good, move to cv axle bearings
ok there,- ck wheel hub bearings
look in phone book for acura shop with private owner (smaller ads) or a honda racer/ricer shop is good too
