window creak!

My drivers side window makes this horrendous creaking/scraping noise when I put it up or down. The noise occurs when the window is about half up or down and it just started out of NO WHERE...anyone have this? It's not serious, but annoying...it sounds like something inside of the window jam is scraping the glass... Any help???

I have this same thing. Some days its better than others....I have just been living with it for a while, I couldn't find anything wrong. Wouldn't mind finding the solution though

Yea, I'm pretty sure it's just one of those things you won't be able to find unless you take your whole door apart or something - which to be honest - is just not worth it.

I tried to pull the window lips(?) thingies apart to look down there to see if there was a rock or something lodged in there, but I didn't see anything...guess I'll just have to live with it...

same here, it goes away when the windows are wet. Maybe lube or condition the rubber around the windows?

What kind of lube should be used? When you say track you mean like black plastic part?

Silicone spray on the tracks will help or eliminate the problem unless something is lodged in the tracks. Soak a rag and wipe out the upper tracks then spray (can of silicone is best) the window as it goes up and down on the tracks to get some of the silicone down in the lower track that you don't have access too.
