vent is hot on manuel mode

My vent are hot and I open all the vent in the car so that air is not trap. I just change my coolant and did a transmission flush already so I am puzzled on what it can be? The weather is not hot. I just notice my vent being hot because I always have to roll down the windows. My AC is working fine. I have black on black leather but that shouldn't be a problem.

did you burp the cooling system properly? ck the res bottle - if its low reburp system

Ac goes thru all the vents?
could be the mixer door for hot/cold, been several ziners with that as recent problem

yours should be cable activated from the knob (assuming non-navi), you may have to remove glovebox to get access -easy diy
good time to replace the cabin filter too

WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?!?!! I spent an hour upside down in the most uncomfortable position ever to fix my heater air mix.

Lol... don't feel bad. I've done stuff like that. After completion realized an easier way. It's part of learning.

did you ck the diy list? or try an outside search engine for it with +acurazine.com and it will ferret thru azine better than our own system--especially 3 letter terms like egr
Someone had this problem before- you can bet

I cant guarantee cable access with glovebox removed- wasnt paying attention to anything but cabin filter when I was in there
but it does seem reasonable
please correct me if you get in there and its blocked

There isnt a cable from the knob. There is a cable that goes from the mix motor to the mixer hose in the engine compartment. You can see it operate from under the dash on the passenger side. Turn the key to run and lay on the floor looking up towards the center console with a flash light. Locate the mix motor and cable and turn the dial from full cold to full hot and see if it changes/moves. If so next have someone turn the dial for you and look under the hood passenger side towards the firewall behind the motor and locate the cable where it attaches to the heater hose. See if the valve moves there.

^That's what a broken one looks like. Yours should rotate freely.

I notice when I drive car my vent get cold than hot later. I have the vent mode to blow on face. I'm wondering if it's my thermostat? My temp gauge needle is fine and doesn't jump. The knob is set to cold. When I press to automatic mode the ac is working fine and also when i turn off the ac and just leave the fan it's working fine. Only when I don't have it turn on that this is happening?

Hmmm, a good way to help eliminate a lot of things would be to let your car spit out a DTC code.

Turn the ignition to on(II) but don't start the car. Press and hold the AUTO button. Then press and hold the OFF button. Hold both of them for about a minute. If the temperature display starts flashing a weird segment, then you can pinpoint the problem. If not, then I don't know.

No need to reset anything. Just take the key out, and it's completely back to normal.

Btw, not a big deal, but please don't quote posts with big pics. Just takes up a lot of extra space.
