transmission
what would be a quick fix or temporary fix for an 02 tls on its way out?i just want to fiix it so i can sell it and the tranny is slipping and shuddering.....can cleaning some parts or changning the oil help? i have to drive it in ss mode and keep the rpm high and if i dont keep the rpm high and hold it where it is the rpm needle drops and making a weird noise like somethings breaking in the tranny.....thanks for the help
The only fix is to have the transmission rebuilt. Once the clutch packs wear out there is no fix other then replacement.
I recently had my transmission rebuilt. Before that I flushed the transmission with Seafoam trans-tune and refilled with a mixture of Valvoline high mileage trans fluid and a bottle of Lucas transmission fix. This "temporary fix" only lasted 150 miles.

and how do you expect to sell this = a trade in at dealer? private sale?
no test drives allowed?, trans blows on test drive you bought it?
If you want to waste money: get 4 qts of honde DW1 atf at dealer
measure amount drained as it varies from 3- 3.4 qts, and refill exactly
but whine, shudder, high rpm to force shift, all = time for the rebuilder shop and a ck for $2500 to fix it
super bad karma to off the car on a person without telling them about prob and cost to repair
Or the car you buy could have some hidden defect,, to bite you back~
