TL type S speedometer BELOW ZERO

Hey guys
looking for help and suggestions on my Acura TL type S 2002
read that it may have been a power surge that sent the speedometer all the way around leaving it at zero.
It tries to go above zero while driving, but it won’t make it over the little stick. Any ideas on what happened or how to fix it? I know it can get tricky really fast!

Are you going in reverse?

J/K. Maybe try resetting the ECU. Pull the battery cable for about 5 minutes then reconnect. Or pull the ECU fuse. See if that resets it.

If it tries going over the little stick but gets stuck, what happens if you open up the instrument cluster and gently take it over the stick? You can do so without taking the needle out all the way if you're careful.

I never knew this problem, was even a THING, till now. Apparently, it is. Found an interesting YouTube video: ( How to re calibrate or test 2002 2003 2004 2005 Civic Si EP3 RSX Cluster) Don't know, if this procedure, world work on a 2G TL, but it may be worth a try! You could also, buy a used cluster, on Ebay, for less than $50.00, shipped. However, if you want to keep your current odometer reading, you could remove your current cluster, install the Ebay cluster, temporarily, and send yours, out for repair, which would insure, your mileage reading, stays the same. Removing, and installing the cluster, is not all that difficult!
