TCS and knocking problem

I have a 2001 TL-P. I know it is time for new pads up front, but the other day when I pull away from a light at a dead stop the TCS light blinks for a second or two and now when I back into my driveway there is a knocking sound coming from the front left tire. Any help?

If your mechanically inclined i would recommend taking that wheel off and inspecting the pads and rotor and wheel sensor. Make sure the pads havent broken apart or arent loose in the caliper.

yea I would not drive it, something obviously is off and sometimes visually you can see what looks off. Never know, it could be something simple like a lose tire.
