taking marker off the seat belt?

taking marker off the seat belt?

hey.... i just noticed that someones kid from be4 i bought the car drew a damn smilely face on one of the back seat belts. .... any advise on how to get this off without messing up the seat belt material or cloth or whatever its called?

O'reily sells this upholtery cleaner that works great... It's in a big yellow spray bottle with a scrubber installed on it as well. Forgot the name of it but i use it for all stains

I've heard that the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works wonders removing MM. Give it a shot.

hmmm... have any of you guys ever heard of a cleaner/anything remover called "Goof Off"? i was thinking about trying this, but was scared that it minght mess up the color of the seat belt.

Removing MM? Is that like magic marker? cuz im pretty sure the kid who did it used a sharpie. They have those magic eraser things at my work... i think ill snag one.

so are you messin with me... last time i checked (when i was like 10), magic markers were those white markers that came in the crayola markers that made all the other markers change color.. lol

Magic Marker is a brand name of a permanent, felt tip pen. Odds are you are not going to find anything that will remove the marker. Your only choice is to replace the belt.

I did see a set of tan seat belts on ebay the other day.

It all depends on what the kid used. Did he use a crayola marker? did he use a sharpie? Get the above products and try Pull your seat belt out all teh way and test a spot thats usually wrapped up to see if it will discolor it. Goo gone shouldt hurt it at all.

try this also, you can find it just about anywhere

Dude...this was ONLY 7 years ago! lol! Showing your age man! Magic Markers date back to when I was a kid of 7 or 8....so they GO WAY BACK IN THE WAY BACK MACHINE!! :killer:

I would just get a new seatbelt and install it.....thats if it doesnt come off without leaving a stain or mark.

lol... you guys r 2 funny. I am going to try some goof off and if that doesnt work ill try magic eraser. ill test it in the back part of the belt to be sure i dont see it. thanks for the advice.

BTW, i thought it was pretty funny how fsttyms posted a pic of the magic eraser... you know im a dumbass and need a pic to find it! LOL. minght get lost in the store.
