Swapped Battery. Radio reset and won't accept the security code. Advice please?
Hello fellow TL owners. It's been awhile since I've been on here. I have a small problem and I'm dying for any advice.
I swapped out my car battery which reset my clock and radio. When I try to turn on the radio it asks for a "code". I have the Acura Radio Security Code in my glove box and tried entering it. It will not accept it. I tried calling Acura and they said that the radio will no longer accept the code due to jamming of frequencies or something.
They advised me to drive in an underground parking lot so I can block all reception and try entering the code there. Another option would be removing my antenna (i think it's behind the radio, not sure). I live in the suburbs and we do not have any underground parking and as far as removing the radio.. I tried and failed!
Can anyone give me some suggestions on what to do? I really hate driving without music it blows!
