i have a 99 tl with 01 swap in it and it is stuck in manual mode i can reverse it and go into all the gears just wont go into automatic mode HELP

 

What computer are you using? Any check engine code?

 

check your sensors that they are all plugged in. and what ecu r u using? do u still have the 4spd or the 5spd?

 

5 spd ecu harness shifter box everything where are the sensors located

 

Do you have the 5 speed ECU?

 

yea everything 01 and 5 spd

 

just making sure but u also have the 5spd trans? id check the connection again.

 

has it been like this since the swap? If not whats changed?

 

yea since it was put in

 

so i went to acura and they are thinking its a connection hopefully this will only run me a couple hundred bucks

 

It has to be a connection. If you swapped the wiring, ECU/trans/motor etc that's really all it can be. I dont think the engine compartment to cabin harness are different or would cause that, nor should the under hood relay center. Either that or the trans is bad?

 

cool and i will let you guys know whats up with it i drove the car the swp was in before and it drove fine

 

then i would unplug and look at all trans connections and make sure all pins are straight. make sure every thing is plugged in fully to the trans.

 

okay i have been too busy to take my car to acura so maybe saturday i'll let you guys know. i did however finally get a chance to pull the eclipse out so thats cool

finally back at acura lea mechanic working on my car every single light was on tcs abs srs cel but thankfully the tranny is good just an electrical connection should be done monday

 

so i got my call about my car today it needed a tranny solenoid all SHOULD be well $435 bucks parts and labor

 

so i picked up the car today and it runs great now i have one more problem the only lights that work on my car brake lights work and head lights but parking lights dash lights and taillights are out fuses are all good that i found
