Strange Click....

I've been hearing this strange click (just one) coming from the driver side front wheel whenever I go from park to drive basically whenever I start moving from a still position, it's not such a big deal but when you hear it constatantly it gets pretty annoying, just want to get some advice on somethings I could start checking before bringing it to a mechanic and end up changing parts and spending money that could be prevented........

Yep, just one "Click" from the front driver side wheel, I've gone to one place to get it checked out and I was told it may be the brake sheild but I don't think so, and before I go wasting money, I would like to see if you guys can give me some advice on things I can check myself....

I have this same problem. Whenever I push the gas from a stop, I get a click noise. Not sure if its coming from the same location, but its definitely coming from the front.

Mine is going into my mechanic this weekend for that, brakes and for him to remind me that my tranny is going out. So I'll let you know what he comes up with for me, possibly the same problem.

Just letting you know..

Got my car back on Sunday from my mechanic, he thought the click was coming from the transaxle. He suggested I take it to his buddy that works at a reputible transmission shop in town to have them look at it because he felt it was going bad. I left it there for a day, and they called and noticed how bad it was slipping (it was starting to get bad), the clicking noise and the traction control light (all of which I knew, I just needed reassurance, unforunately).

So after all that, I'm having my transmission rebuilt this week by them.

This may not be the same deal for you, but just a heads up from someone else!

Thanks for your help FliedLice, although I'm still confused, lol.....Don't mean to sound dumb.....but are you leaning more towards a tranny issue with me or the components near the tranny???
