Replacing a Failed Catalytic Converter
Greetings Folk,
Recently, I've been told that my catalytic converter is failing due to an engine misfire. Currently, I'm shopping around for a new cat. What brands would you recommend for a 1999 Acura 3.2TL? (OEM from dealership is way out of my budget)
Thanks,
Mohamed

Magnaflow catalytic converters are very reasonable in price compared to OEM equipment. The quality is just as good or better than OE. Call a few auto stores such as Kragen, Pep boys, etc. and compare pricing. You can also call some local exhaust shops and have them give you a quote.

Acura dealer I went to charged $108 for checking engine light. Service rep ended up charging half that after I chose to have the issue fixed by.
