Replacement clock light bulb dim

I had a blown light in clock in my 2003 TL S last week. My mechanic brought replacement from local Acura dealer but replaced light appears dim compared to A/C display even at full brightness of dimmer switch.

The labor cost to replace the bulb which requires instrument panel is much higher than the bulb itself hence I am reluctant to spend money again.

Has anybody faced such issue?
Thanks

Look up the bulb part # online & verify that it matches the bulb that was installed. There can be different wattage bulbs of the same base type, size, etc. Higher wattage = more light output. Maybe a substitution was made.

I replaced mine with LEDs and its the same issue. The AC is much brighter than the clock. I think the climate unit has multiple bulbs whereas the clock only has one. Plus the clock has a plastic diffuser that further diminishes the output. It just seems to be designed that way.

IMO, Acura should have made the clock at least as bright if not brighter than the AC display.
