If you Follow the ATF Cooler DIY you can Find the "ATF Filter Line"

I think all 4 Bolts are 10mm but I can be Wrong dont remember.
Just un-screw those 2 bolts Holding the Filter Line then the other 2 Bolts Holding the Filter Bracket, Unscrew the Filter like the Engine Oil but with less force please, Drop In the new Seal and Filter, reverse procedure and DONE.

Part NO: 25450-P7W-003 (ATF FILTER) - 25 to 45 Bucks.

Thats it! I am starting to have some transmission issues and I am hoping a drain and refill will do that trick.

I am going to try changing the filter. Lord knows I don't have 2K to spend on a tranny.

Recently did it myself as a preventative measure- not having transm. issues. Wasn't too bad.

deep- try a selenoid/pressure switch cleaning and a new filter
along with the 3.4 qt change to new honda dw1 atf

are you getting slipping in gear or reluctant to grab the next gear?
give us a hint and more suggestions may appear

a filter isnt going to cure any INTERNAL trans prob- it just filters !!
BUT
it its clogged that would create an issue

This is something we should all do,,just like flushing brake fluid and ps fluid.
good preventative at the least,, and could solve some probs at best!!

For the '99 TL folks; we don't have that transmission filter.
