So lately here and there my 2000 acura TL has been having some issues.

Sometimes mostly while trying to accelerate i will be stepping on the gas then suddenly the pedal starts vibrating and the car makes this awful revving type noise and it will last until i have to pull over and shut the car off. It doesnt cause any RPM jump and i can still accelerate. It also doesnt cause overheating or anything like that. but what could this possibly be. As soon as i shut off car and turn back on it stops.

 

Coil on the plug is dying.

 

Okay how do i figure out which one it is?

 

get to parts store for code reading'
it may say multi cyl misfire--thats one coil bad
see threads on testing by removing power to coil and watch for rpm change
no change is bad coil

reset ecu by pulling clock fuse for a minute to clear all codes after coil install
drive and reck codes

 

So the noise was actually because my ac compressor was fried. Changed the ac compressor and no no more noises!

 

but you also have a CEL for a bad coil pack? I saw your other thread...

 

Teah but that shaking and stuff didnt happen until two days after i fixed issue one and the check engine light wasnt bringing up that code.

 

either a wire got knocked during ac repair or you have a bad coil,,common problem
