Quick Trans question
Quick Trans question
First off car is a 02 type s, tranny went as they all do and i read up on here about the 06 accord swap and did it myself (i'm no stranger to engine swaps and trans swaps, done a few 5 speed conversions too but this is my first j series). only issues are the idle is surging from 700 to about 2k tried leaving the cap off the rad so it would bleed itself out of the air but didn't work and i got a code for TCC. i read that if you got the code then the trans is toasted but it runs and drives fine. only has 52k on it. bought it from a super reputable dealer in the area. not sure where the sensor is or what it does. not sure if it's broke or not connected or what. also wondering why there is like 2 throttle bodies on the car? any info would be nice.
Sounds more of an IACV issue.. The TCC code can be misleading since you did the swap, but the idle surging should not be a part of it.
Check all your connections in the TB area if everything looks legit then check the IACV itself.
The Type-S has full time Traction Control, the first TB from the air filter is called the VSA Throttle Body. It's function is to starve the engine from air (Basically an open TB that closes automatically with an electric motor) this is done to control engine output and Help stop the loss of traction.. So you can fully WOT but the engine will still slow down since air is being cut down when the tires lose traction.

Glad someone knows more then i do about that throttle body business. pretty interesting too. i'll pull the iacv and clean it out. i've done it on my prelude and integras so it's no biggie. i'll check all my sensor connections too. i was wondering where the tcc is in particular so i know to check that one
Double check all wiring, make sure every thing is connected. Surging idle can also be a vac leak. Did you have the intake or TB off during the swap? Did you have the coolant lines off the bottom of the TB? If so, you may have hooked one of the coolant lines up to the IACV lines and vice versa
