well..it just started happening today..i dont know whats wrong..but before i shift..the engine would rev alittle then shift and the shifts would be hard and not smooth..then also when i take my foot off the pedal..my car automactially shuts down but turns on after i step on the gas

 

What happens if you don't press the gas? Does the engine remain off?

I had the same problem with my Av6 when the tranny was slipping.. (rev a bit between 2 gear and hard shift..) but dont know for the other problem..

 

yeah..before i shifted..it would rev up to 3 or 4,000 and then shift and roughly too..i think my wiring is messed up in the car is why my car turns off..but i'll check it out

 

yeah my tranny does that too but it does it hard from all geat shifts,1st to 2nd is the hardest shift. i learnd to used SS mode to shift the gears manualy while using a little gas to help it shift into the next gear quicker and smoother somehow. if i dont use a little gas while shifting up it stays in the gear for about 5 seconds b4 shifting up. but i have to let off the gas when it actually shifts or else it will shift hard. im hoping i can drive like this for a few more thousand miles b4 it craps out totally while i save up some cash 2 get a new one. i see it as if its not shifting hard, then im not doin anymore damage right?

nvm they do have SS just are 4 speed instead of 5 durr wasnt thinking >.<
