Sometimes during take off my 00 tl does nothing! no ck engine light, no trans slipping, no rpm's just nothing then it takes off. it only does it coming from a stand still, any ideas??
it happens when im at a stand still. as soon as i go a few feet its almost like it cuts off but it dosnt. it dosnt do it all the time tho. but like i said the rpm's just lay at 750. and then in a few seconds it revs up and takes off..
you have inspected the throttle cables-attachments and adjustment? (slight play- a bit more than the bike)
some ziners had the retainer `wall` of the throttle cable attchment at TB break off- cruise cable gets jammed or wedged,,,not good
ck TB air plate movement with throttle --remove air intake snorkel for access

No delay between n and d5... I had the check engine light and tcs lights come on before, the code had 1,3,5 coils but the lights went off the next day. It started shuttering a little the next day and then the throttle delay issue. You think i might need to change coils? Also I seafoamed the topend, crank case and gas tank and changed plugs. This is my first TL, ive had integras and civics w/GSR swaps but im getting older and have a fam. I love Acuras but this is starting to be a pain in the A$$..lol
you may need 1 coil--that will throw multiple coil codes and explain performance prob
No delay N to D5 is a good sign for trans health!
did you seafoam the manifold vac port at the TB? not some side vac line? how much seafoam--correct warm up and after drive?
What ratio seafoam in gas tank?
Spark plugs are the correct 8 dollars each NGK?
pull the suspect plugs and inspect for coil misfire

I used the seafoam spray directly into TB. 1/2 a can at 1500rpms, then let it sit about 20min. then i let it idol about 5 min and took a fun lil joy ride. I put a 1/2 a can in the crank case and drove it about 150 miles. I drained and refilled w/mobil 1 full synthetic. In the gas i did a full can to a 1/2 a tank. It took care of the lifter rattle and vastly improved my mpg's. Im gonna pull the plugs this weekend and check them out. Any ideas on the best syn trans fluid for a TL?
atf = the new honda formula is a semi synth iirc, and is well liked in the group

your seafoam times are a bit long, allowing engine to cool off too much before the start up--
and idle 5 minutes isnt the best way to get heat in,,and crud moving out
pull a plug and make sure they didnt get fouled
