P0132/0131 and VSA
Hey all,
Acura 2002 TL-S. 140K.
Recently had a front right fender bender that also damaged the crankshaft pulley. Haven't had any problems with the car before the accident, but just after getting it back I got a p0131/0132 codes and the VSA light came on. Car is struggling to accelerate and idles rough when cold. Once it warms up it seems to run fine.

Sorry didn't mean to hit submit.
I find it very strange that both O2 sensors go off after they do work to replace the crankshaft pulley and other various work on the car from the accident.
Also not sure why the VSA light is now on as well.
Anyone have any ideas on this?
Going to call the shop tomorrow as well.
Thanks.

P0131 is O2 sensor 1 low voltage and P0132 is O2 sensor 2 high voltage. It doesn't make sense to me that both error conditions would exist at the same time (maybe someone else can explain).
So I wonder if the wire harness for your O2 sensor 1 was damaged in the crash. Your O2 sensor itself could've been damaged as well. At 140K it's time to replace it anyway.
If your ECU is not able to read the O2 sensor properly then it won't be able to enter closed loop and the engine will run crappy like what you're experiencing.
You're probably also experiencing terrible gas mileage and smelly exhaust? Just a guess?

You would be correct Chojun.
I tried disconnecting the battery and letting it sit overnight that way to reset the PCM.
It was running fine again this morning, and haven't had any codes pop back up again.
If it pops back up, then I'll take a look at the wiring harness and do some voltage tests.
The O2 sensors just got replaced 20K ago, so I don't think they would need replacing already.
It is possible that the harness was damaged either during the accident or when the dealership was taking everything apart and replacing the crankshaft pulley.
I'll reach out to them today to let them know what's going on.
