I bought a dirt cheap 2004 ody trans and torque converter from a repo van and now have both transmissions out and have noticed that the heater assemblies are totally different and will not interchange.What do i do now?Use the ody assembly or return the trans and wait till i can find and afford an av6?

 

I don't think the 04 ody trans is compatible. But some others around here might be able to say for sure.

 

A definitive answer would be great and if it wont,why?What do i need to change or can it be changed?Im heading back to the junkyard now.

 

Anybody know?Got my car sitting in my yard with no trans waiting to find out what the answer is.lol

I got the trans in and the heater situation figured out but it wont move at all in any gear like its not even trying.I used all solenoids and switches and sensors from the original tl trans cause it worked just was slipping in 3rd gear.I put the torque converter from the ody.Kinda wondering if the tq isnt bad.

 

the trans you put in is most likely bad. Need to rebuild one of your transmissions, then reinstall.

even if the tc is bad the car will still drive, just not very well.

 

Going to bite the bullet and go ahead and buy a $600 av6 this weekend.
