Not Cranking

My 99 TL will not crank. I checked the stater fuse and wires going to the starter and still nothing. All the lights light up and dim alittle when I move the key to start position and I could hear a relay or something click oin the fuse box in the engine bay. Any other things I could check before I have this heep towed?

How bright are the headlights?

It could be something as simple as a dead battery.

Do you have a charger?

Have you tried a jump from another car?

I'd check the battery or try a jump before having it towed.

Thanks Bob but its not the battery all lights come on strong. This what I did with the car in park i turn the key and get a little click from the fuse box- If I put the car in gear I DO NOT get a click. my green key light is turning on and blinks 4 or 5 times when the key is taken out of the ignition as of now I would say its the starter but never got a warning sign or anything that indacated it was bad. It just worked fine and then nothing. I have beaten the sh!t out of the starter and it will not crank at all. Is there anything else I could check before I go down this road?

That's a great idea. I should have thought of that as my 1999 TL is on its third ignition switch.
