Motor Mount Vacuum
Motor Mount Vacuum
Got a question regarding the vacuum. I'm looking at aftermarket mounts, and they say for the Front, "Does Not Include Vacuum Line Fitting" and on the rear, "Without Vacuum hose."
Is that going to be a problem? I don't quite understand. I think this means the front isn't vacuum assisted and that I'd have to reuse the hose on the rear? They are only $60 each, so it's better than the stealership...

they are cheap because they have no vacuum boost to stiffen them under power
but==some years came with vac and some without
you need to get under the car and verify what you have
If you want to go cheap just plug the vac lines securely

Yes, all 3 engine and a trans mount were diagnosed bad. The rear was causing a vacuum issue with the engine also.
now would also be a great time to poly fill the front and side mounts and replace the stock vac assisted rear mount with an OEM rear. The tranny mounts aren't too expensive and are easy to replace. I'm actually going to replace my tranny mounts again this weekend with poly filled versions as one of mine is now torn in half. It's possible all 5 of your mounts are bad. Once one goes (namely the front motor mount) the rest will follow suit including the tranny mounts. All new mounts will make a world of difference.
