I have a 2000 Acura TL and when I insert mixtapes or CD-Rs with MP3 files on it, it takes extremely long to begin playing, if it plays at all. This was also happening in my 99 Camry that I sold some months ago. This problem never happens with Albums that I buy or Audio books. Only with burned music which is usually in MP3 format. The sound system is BOSE so it is a BOSE thing or an Acura thing? how do I fix it? what do I do?

 

the cd player in the 00 tl isn't very good for playing burned cd's, and definitely does not play mp3's. the best thing would be to get an after market unit that plays mp3's. for reference the bose is just the sound system, speakers and the sub woofer.

 

Or you can pick up a HU from an 02-03. That is if you're trying to keep the stock setup.

 

well since your going to spend the cash anyways, might as well buy an aftermarket unit. the sound quality will be better.

 

I used to have a 99 Camry before my 2000 TL too! Wow, what are the odds? I used to have the same problem in my TL before I bought an 02-03 6 disc HU from a member here on the BlackMarket. I never had problems with the CD player in the Camry though.

 

2G HU can play MP3s? Sorry to jack your thread but what CD maker program can we use on 2nd Gen to show the song name and artist on the display?

 

NO. They cant play MP3's nor can they show song info.
