maintenance required light shows up longer than usual on start then goes away after about 30 seconds....is it anything to worry about?

 

you're tranny is gonna go... better get that checked....

probably due for oil change...
you can reset it.... search owners manual...

 

It will stay on longer unless you reset it..

 

i just got an oil change and new tranny oil so is it possible it could be a faulty light cause everything sounds and drives fine

 

then just reset the light.. if you did it yourself, you probably didn't reset it.. or a shop didn't reset it.. its simple.. check owners manual..

 

well i got both about a month ago so thats not the reason why it just started comming up yestereday. i dont think its the tranny it shifts fine

 

tranny was a joke...

it just comes up as a reminder.... jus reset it..

Mine came on today and scared me for a second. lol Is there a certain way to change the intervals it comes on? I got my oil changed about 2-3 weeks ago, but would like it to come on when I'm supposed to get it changed again.

 

The light is automatic and I doubt it can be changed. All you have to do to reset it is hold on to both the mileage reset button and the a and b mileage option button, then u have to turn the car on while still pressing both buttons and continue for like 10 secs till it turns off. That's probably about the only thing I know how to do on my car. Lol jus kiddin
