I don't see yellow?

Looks broke to me?

There aren't any fill indicators..... I suspect someone put the wrong dip stick in and it broke?????

Unfortunately, I just took possesion and I'm just going over every little thing I can. This site is awesome!!!!!

Trany appears to be a factory reman. The last owner just changed the fluid so I dunno? I'm getting the right dip stick and changing the fluid again.

if it is a reman tranny it is proably a dip stick that has been in many trannies, cause i know when i put a reman tranny in an odyssey, it came with a dipstick that was all bent up so we just kept the oringional dipstick and just put the bent to shit dipstick into the core return tranny (old bad tranny), but i don't think people should be putting that into any tranny (how did they even check the level )

I don't think I would even drive it until you get the correct dipstick, esp. since you know he just changed it- Who knows if he put the right amt. of fluid in? Ask him how he checked it- ?

I don't think it was broken. It was shorten purposely to match the original length.

Sure, but at least there is no concern about missing part left in the oil case. If I lost the oil stick and it was the only stick that I could find at the junkyard for 2 bucks and it fits, I would do the same. I would rather use an odd dipstick than leave it open until I can get a replacement, but then the car will be sold anyway. I think it was wise idea.
