Keyless Entry problem

Hey guys haven't been on the forums for a while now but ran into a problem that I can't figure out.

My factory keyless entry on my 2001 2G is not functioning anymore and I can't seem to figure it out. The remote lights up perfectly, but it doesn't lock, unlock or open my trunk. I've tried to replace the battery with no luck and I also checked all fuses. I even tried to reprogram the remote and that won't work either.

Any suggestions?

Does your driver's side door power lock work? Does it cycle when you use the lock/unlock switch on the door panel?

I'd try a new remote. I ordered one on eBay (generic aftermarket)since I did not get one when I purchased the car, programmed it with the provided instructions, and it worked fine.

Hm... I may try that, but at a last resort.

Before you spend money and buy a new remote, have you tried to reprogram your current key fob?

Swllen_cu stated that he tried to reprogram the remote. Perhaps there's a special technique to doing this properly ? IDK !!!
