Front Brake Rotors - 02 TL
I'm ready to replace the front rotors (aftermarket). I read about the 2 little screws on the TL brake rotors and bought an impact screwdriver. The problem is...when I took off the front wheel to remove the rotors, there weren't any screws. ALSO, there weren't any holes for the screws!
The rotors were new when I bought the car at 62K miles. Do some rotors not have the holes for the screws that hold on the rotors? If so, is the rotor held on by the lug nuts?
The new rotors I bought have the screw holes.
I read that the screws don't need to be replaced, but I'm leary not to put them in. I'll probably buy the screws at an Acura dealer since the new rotors have holes for them.

Thanks, I'll check when I get them off. Are the bolts that hold the calipers threaded normal or backwards? I'm having trouble getting them off. I'm not Arnold, but these things are ON THERE.

They should be threaded on normally. Try some penetrating lubricant such as PB Blaster to spray them down and let them soak for about 10 minutes. Then try again and if they're still not budging you might try a long piece of pipe over your ratchet handle to give you more leverage.

Thanks again. I tried an air ratchet, wouldn't take them off. Went and got a breaker bar and got them to loosen using a foot wrench. I added some anti-seize to these bolts before putting them back on. It's never easy, is it?
