its takes a while ~100 miles of driving for the ECU to get reset....

if you have the radio/navi code ready just unplug the battery for 15-20 minutes to reset the ecu !!!

there is another gas pedal way to reset it but i dont really know it on top of my head !!!

hope this helps....again after you add oil....start the car...let it warm up....take it on a flat surface....turn it off and check for the oil level on the dipstick....

let us know how it went !!!

^ there is NO gas pedal method.

Just pull the clock Backup fuse to reset the ECU and turn the light off.

DONT unplug the battery. The Easiest way is to pull the fuse. That way you dont have to enter the radio code, and navi code if you have navi. The fuse method works just fine and takes less time.

And there is NO reason the CEL should have come on after changing the oil. If it comes back on after resetting it have the codes read at a auto parts store.

IF there is a Next time pull the fuse. IT will reset the light without having to go thru unhooking the battery and entering radio codes. Its much faster.
