Door Console/Handle

Door Console/Handle
The panel for the passenger side rear door is separating from the console/handle portion {i.e. the part that has the window switch} of the door. It appears that the glue that holds the foam backing of the panel has let loose. Has anyone had any experience with this type of problem? I would appreciate any help regarding how to repair it. I have a 2001 TL. Thanks in advance.

I had this problem in My TL with both rear doors... I fixed it...dont' have pictures but I can explain pretty easily...
All you need is painters tape...and Super Glue, (you can go to a discount auto and they'll give you specialized super glue which is what I used I think...but any super glue is fine...as long as it can hold ur fingers together with the slightest amount)...
I had a bottel u can squeeze with a point on the end which was easier for applying (the entire tube was maybe 4 inches long)
Get somebody to help u and put a line of glue on the panel (not part conected to the window switch) There should be a lip on the end of the piece falling off. Put glue all on that lip all the way than you and your friend push it into the door panel. You kind of have to push down to get the lip under the window switch part. Once you get the lip in to where it looks good, take the painters tape (or something strong, ducktape isn't good because it'll leave a residue) and tape maybe 15 pieces vertically holding the door panel's nice and tight together. I left my tape on for aprox. 2 days.
It looks great now, just be careful with that glue, cause its very hard to get off...Don't want to be careless and miss something and get it on the actual panel. If theres any residue on the door after you take the tape off than just use goo gone on a clean rag and it'll come right off... just don't use to much goo gone or it could get to where the glue is....
Hope this helps, Its actually really simple, took me maybe 10 minutes for both doors.
