Do you Think This Dealer is Full of BS.

So i take my car to the dealer for a check engine light, so it turns out to be a miss fire code, they clear the computer and tell me to drive it a little to see if it comes back, but then he says my front knuckle is bent and needs to be replaced, so i'm thinking to my self my car drove fine and the alignment seemed fine, so i say i'll bring it back. So i needed tires and went to get two new tires, when i got my tires they also checked the alignment and it was fine. All the cambers were in sepc. So is it possible to have a bent knuckle and still have a good alignment???

Get a second opinion or tell em to show you where it is bent. I mean...shit...if the car is within specs....its hard to believe that it is bent that far out of shape? Tell em to show you what they are talking about....nothing wrong with that? Most would have been willing to show you right there anyway just to avoid this type of doubt?

if you're alignment shows up ok and the car drives fine..and if there telling you that your knuckle is bent, then they must have one hell of an eye to determine that. IF your knuckle IS bent, then it must be an extremely extremely slight bent. There is no way in hell you can determine that by just looking @ it like that. If you have no vibrations @ high speed, car doesn't shift to the left or to the right, then I do not see how the knuckle could be bent.

I tend to agree with you completely....but it sure would be nice to see em try to explain this out given he has a bit of research under his belt now. I can see it now.....ah....you see sir...it all starts here with your proton jubilator valve and goes all the way back to your muffler bearing...which by the way, also badly needs lube. We can handle that why we are down there though...so dont worry! lol

If they said your car knuckle bend but it isn't what you think. Then inreverse you show them your own knuckle. Let them know that it is not easy trying to robb people.
