The in dash clock has no back lighting. Is there a small bulb behind the clock face or is it an electronics problem. Can the center console face plate be removed and are there any small tricks to getting it out with out breaking it?

 

Try raping on the clock with your knuckles. My wife's Odyssey had the clock light go out. I banged on once and it's worked ever since. Might not fix your problem, but try it before you start taking apart your dash.

 

In my 99 Accord the clock light went out and I hit beside it with moderate force and that fixed it permanently. Happened to it right after I got it with 67k miles and it was still working when I traded it with 93k miles.

 

My wife's clock light also went out on her Odyssey... Gave the dash/clock a few hits, but didn't help...

Ended up taking the dash apart and replacing the bulb... Got it at Radio Shack as a package of two for $1.49...

 

My 2001 Acura 3.2 TL Clock Light at the top of the dash is out. The HVAC and Radio Controls continue to light as normal. Has anyone repaired this? How do you get to it? I assume you need to replace the entire clock?

Price to do repair yourself?
Price at dealership?

I will try the dash thump. If not, how do you get to the clock? Thanks for the assistance.
