compression test..need to remove all spark plugs?

I own a 2003 acura tl.

I want a compression test on the front cylinders only.

Do I still need to remove the spark plugs in rear?

thank you

mind sharing why?

to answer- a good compression test requires the starter to turn the engine at good speed- a consistant speed-
so remove all the plugs AND hook up a battery charger during testing!!

if looking for coolant traces - head gasket prob- water damage should be evident on the plugs-
or if gasket blown, coolant will shoot from spark plug hole

they tested the compression at the Honda dealership when i bought my car... (brought it to them for a tech to inspect - got the older guy who races and builds cars) said it checked out...

unless its been severely overheated the compression should be fine

for your purpose- pull the fronts and get a basic reading
