Recently my 1999 Acura 3.2 TL has been stallling occasionally when I am in drive I try to restart the car, it turns over and then dies. Other ? symptoms sluggish, fuel economy down . Took it to my mechanic scanned it and came up with code 1676 , it supposedly has to do with a injector wire signal ??? Has anyone had this code or problem before?

what did the tech think? codes are NOT diagnosis- just clues
a 99- do you have the cap-rotor-spark plug wires motor?
99s have an ignition switch warranty-call acura at 1-800-382-2238 x5 or go to the dealer
You need the VIN number when you talk to anyone about the car.
the older motor cars also got a free tune up for emissions reasons too- at high miles.

 

Code 1676 is set when there is a signal problem between the pcm and the abs/tcs control unit. I checked the diagnostic procedure, and step 1 is to clear code and see if it returns. If it returns, the next step is to check 2 wires between the components. If they check out ok, it's the pcm or abs control unit. If no code comes back, and you still have running problems, start with the basics like 01tl4tl suggested.

Hey my car is having the same problem. my error code is P1676 TCSDL (FPTDR)signal failure. what does this mean and did you ever figure out your problems?

How does that work? Is that CA only or elsewhere?
